OHSA is a provincial statute and it covers employees and employers in the Ontario level.
Federal employers such as banks, radio, television, inter-provincial railways, and airlines and their employees are not covered by the OHSA.
The OHSA does not cover if someone who is the owner, occupant, or a servant performs work in a private residence.
The OHSA governs many issues in relation to workplace Health and Safety, including without limitation:
- Workplace Harassment,
- Workplace Violence, and
- Reprisals by the employer,
