We are an ally of Toronto LGBTQ communities. Our Toronto LGBTQ Legal Help policy is designed to serve those who are in need of protection for their tenant rights and human rights. It is a safe and reliable source that assists you in solving your issues.
What do our services include?
You may choose at least one of the following legal help:
- Consultation regarding the protection of your legal rights,
- Preparing for your application forms and pleadings if you wish to start a legal proceeding,
- Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB) Representation, and
- Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario (HRTO) Representation.
Note: You may also be eligible for a free initial consultation.
Who may receive our LBGTQ legal help?
This policy only applies to Toronto LGBTQ members who require legal help for their tenant rights and human rights.
What is the rate for LGBTQ legal help?
Those who are eligible for this policy will receive a discounted rate of $50 per hour.
Note: You are still responsible for the costs associated with the legal action you start. Those costs may include but not limited to filing fees, serving fees, transportation costs, and loss of earnings as a result of attending a hearing. You are also responsible for any applicable taxes.
What to do to receive the discounted rate?
If you wish to accept this discounted rate, you shall disclose to us that you are a member of the LGBTQ community. Your information disclosed to us is confidential.
